Dr. Andrew Lippman

Andrew Lippman is the Associate Director and Co-founder of MIT Media Lab. Andy has spent 27 years at MIT in various capacities. He is an expert in the areas of digital & interactive television, personal communications and Professional Information. He has participated in several congressional and international meetings on communications, American competitiveness and the future of television. His previous research work include Media Bank program, Television of Tomorrow, Early Interactive videodisc system, Electronic Movie-manual, teleconferencing, news information and personalized publishing. He holds a Masters in Computer Graphics from MIT and a PhD. In Elec. Engg from Lausanne, Switzerland. He holds several patents.
