FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Hewlett-Packard and 3dMaxMedia to deliver total, interactive 3d experience on the net. Chennai, March 7, 2000 : Hewlett-Packard and 3dMaxMedia today announced that they had formed a strategic alliance to work together in the areas of 3D animation content creation, content distribution and transaction on the net. The Memorandum of Understanding, signed between the two companies, also include joint marketing and promotional activities to attract more enterprises to create thier business in this framework. Disclosing the details of the MOU at a press briefing in Chennai, Mr. Ganesh Ayyar, President, Hewlett-Packard India informed that there were four main areas that HP and 3dMaxMedia would jointly address. These include: 1) Content creation 2) Content 3) Content delivery 4) Commercial completion
The two companies would also facilitate creating of an ecosystem consisting of both B2B and B2C players.
"This is a path breaking effort this is going to redefine customer intimacy on the net. This framework would help enterprises to build their business around real time interactive 3D customer experience", says Ganesh Ayyar.
3dMaxMedia, is into the above areas. "3dMaxMedia's cutting edge content creation and delivery technologies leveraging on Hewlett-Packard's e-services framework is going to open up a whole new world of opportunities," Says Srini Vasan, Founder and President of 3dMaxMedia.
"This partnership is built on a superior visualization graphics platform and e-speak from Hewlett-Packard", disclosed Srini Vasan.
3dMaxMedia will deliver an integrated suite of web 3D animation products and services that are initially media and e-commerce focused. This will include:
1) Global 3D Music Launchpad 2) 100% Web-based 3D Animation Record Label and short feature films 3) 3D animated E-commerce portals and other vertical services
Our 3d Content will be 3 to 5 times faster and 10 to 20 times smaller than what is available in the market at this time.
We hope to exploit the opportunity in the 3D animation's explosive growth by utilizing on India's talent pool. Our strategic tie-in with Pentafour Multimedia is the first step in this direction. Besides delivering 3D content for the American and European markets. 3dMaxMedia would also develop content for India, Japan and China. We will use Singapore as the regional hub to address the Asian markets outside of India. We are also in the process of appointing a global firm to identify strategic media companies and portals as potential partners for different markets adds Srini Vasan.
