INSTALLATION TROUBLE SHOOTING NOTES, only if needed:

1. If Zuma opens with a lot of its interface elements not loaded and a blank white screen it probably simply means that the Verisign Code Signing verification window has gone to the back and you didn’t fully complete the last step of the installation process. This Window is just to verify that the program you are installing is indeed from 3dmaxmedia and can be trusted. To complete, click the Verisign icon in the Taskbar to bring it back to the front and finish by clicking “Always Trust” and OK to complete the installation process.

2. If on clicking any of the Keyboard Animator Keys (Q-P) you get a strange “Boink” sound you can easily fix this by going to the Control Panel folder (by clicking the lower left Windows “start” menu icon and then selecting “Control Panel”) From there double click the Sounds and Audio Devices” icon. Then click the “Sounds” tab from this dialogue. From the “Program Events” area below select “Default Beep” .Finally click on the check mark box at the bottom under the “Sounds” area and change it from “Windows XP Default.wav” to “(none)”

3. If you notice a large decrease in frame rate (your scenes animation become jerky) when pressing and/or holding down any of the Keyboard Animator Keys (Q-P) this can easily fix this by going to the Control Panel folder (by clicking the lower left Windows “start” menu icon and then selecting “Control Panel”) From there double click the “Keyboard” icon and from the Speed tab change the “Repeat rate:” to Slow by dragging its triangle all the way to the left

4. If you are getting no automatic music response in Zuma when you play music with your Winamp Player you may have to manually select the 3dmaxmedia Visualizer plug-in for Winamp the first time. With Winamp active click “Ctrl K” to open the Winamp Preferences area and select “3dmaxmedia Visualizer” from the Visualizer plug-ins area. Then click the “Start” button and then the “Close” button. You should only have to do this once as long as you don’t change your visualizer plug-in.
